What information do we collect?

  • The time that you started your previous session, so we can highlight new content since your last visit. There will be one cookie for each domain on the site.

If you log on to the site we additionally store the following cookies in your browser:

  • An identifier so we can keep you logged on across different domains. This session cookie will be deleted when you close your browser or log out.
  • When you have chosen to log on automatically, an identifier to automatically log you on at every visit.

Using your personal information

Information you choose to send us may be used for the following purposes:

  • To enable your use of the services provided by Jiglu.com.
  • To administer the site.
  • To send you e-mail messages and newsletters that you have chosen to receive.
  • To send you general and marketing communications by e-mail about the service or new services, but usually no more than four times a year.
  • To deal with enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to the site.

Where you submit personal information for publication on our site, we will publish and otherwise use that information in accordance with the license that you grant to us. This is described in our terms and conditions.

We will not without your express consent provide your personal information to any third parties for the purpose of direct marketing.

E-mail addresses

If you join a Jiglu.com community space then your e-mail address may be disclosed to visitors to that space:

  • The administrators and moderators of the space will always be able to view addresses of members of the space or addresses that have been included in the content of discussion messages, knowledge entries and profiles.
  • The members of the space may be able to view addresses if the administrators of the space have opted to show e-mail addresses to everyone. This includes the content of discussion messages, knowledge entries and profiles.
  • If you send a discussion message, either on the web site or by e-mail, then your e-mail address will be disclosed to the members of the space that have opted to receive e-mail messages.

E-mail addresses will never be shown to visitors that have not logged on.

Disclosures

We may disclose information about you to our employees and officers only as reasonably necessary for the purposes as set out in this privacy policy.

In addition, we may disclose information about you:

  • To the extent that we are required to do so by law.
  • In connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings.
  • In order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.

Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.
